Brandon McCarthy breezed through the Mariners today in four innings of work. He threw 44 pitches, gave up one hit and struck out three. Where has this guy been? Oh yeah, the DL!  Let’s hope that’s a thing of the past.

If this turns out to be the REAL Brandon McCarthy and not just a fluke, Ranger fans could be in for a treat this season! Only time will tell.

The Rangers win 9-1 on 15 hits.  Five Rangers had extra-base hits, including a home run from Taylor Teagarden. Ranger pitchers allowed only 4 hits and 1 walk. The Mariners’ lone run came off a solo shot by 1B Mike Sweeney.
