Gear Up For Rangers Baseball

How Do You Get to the Ballpark These Days?

March 15th, 2009 at 10:05 am
detour

I went to the Dallas Stars game last night with my wife and her friend (Thanks for the tickets, Wendy!). The Stars beat the Minnesota Wild 3-2 in overtime! Go Stars!

Anyway, on the way to the game we passed through the disaster zone that is I-30 in Arlington. Roads are closed, exits have disappeared…I don’t even know how to get to the Ballpark anymore.

As much as I am looking forward to seeing the Rangers on Opening Day, I am dreading the traffic jam from Fort Worth to the Ballpark in Arlington.

If you are familiar with the area, I would really appreciate any secret shortcuts you can share. Please post comments!

    Chris,

I am not sure how you got to the games when you were in GP but I always took Randoll Mill (starting from the top of Duncan Perry) all the way...no I-30, no Division and most importantly NO TRAFFIC!!
I would suggest doing something similar from Ft Worth, exit as early as Fielder or even East Chase if the traffic is real bad, drop south a few blocks and then take Randoll Mill in. If that doesn't work there are plenty of other "side" streets you can probably take!

Sounds good! That's how we always went to the games from GP, too.
