Drinkin’ the B-Mac Kool-Aid…

1-1 record, 12 IP, 4.50 ERA, 15 hits, 6 earned runs, 12 SOs, and 3 BBs…

No, these are not Brandon McCarthy’s Spring numbers.

They belong to one John Danks of the Chicago White Sox.

Not bad…Here are McCarthy’s Spring numbers:

2-0 record, 10 IP, 1.80 ERA, 3 hits, 2 earned runs, 7 SOs, and 3 BBs…

I admit it…I’m drinkin’ the Kool-Aid. But to be fair, there has not been a lot of Rangers Kool-Aid in existence over the years…much less, Rangers PITCHING Kool-Aid. I’ve got to tell you…it tastes good!

I realize that it is still Spring Training. And that Spring Training numbers don’t mean anything.

But I hope Brandon McCarthy’s drinking the Kool-Aid. I don’t anyone who needs a confidence boost more than he does.

Hopefully, he will stay on this roll and let his momentum carry him into April. He’s got the stuff. He just needs to believe in it.

As for me…I’m going to keep drinkin’ the Kool-Aid. At least, until he convinces me otherwise.

Would you like a glass?

that's funny, I just got a comment about Broadway the other day.

I've figured Broadway would start the season at AAA (he needs work on his fastball. his curve is great though) but there was an article in the Sun-Times today about him possibly landing a spot in the bullpen. I guess we'll have to wait-and-see.

B-Mac kool-aid is nice in March... we'll see what it tastes like in July. Let's keep an eye on this and keep comparing during the season, eh Chris?

Where's B-Mac placed in the Rangers rotation, and what are their expectations for him this season?

Let's hope the blue Kool-Aid is still flowing for B-Mac in July! We've waited long enough.
He should be 3rd or 4th in the rotation, behind Millwood and Padilla (and possibly Feldman).
Danks looks solid. Does Broadway have a chance of making the CWS squad? If so, in what role?
